Holy Toast Batman!

I enjoyed this toast, I mean post, very much!

(You know, I was thinking of posting a picture of stormy weather/cloud formation, that looked very much to me like the classic pirate face coming out from the clouds, with just a hint of him holding up a his hooked steel claw, but wouldn't dare now...who knows what you'd make out of that!) *wink* ha ha

Thanks for the post Ed!

That was a great sermon Pastor Ed!!!!! I quite agree that religion is more of realising the God within each one of us..not merely trying to replicate ourselves in the form of idols or other fads as are common in so many religions. Religion is personal on one hand, but on the other it binds humanity together in that single thread of love.

To realise that the latter is true after the mistaking it for the former is to give oneself the additional task of wiping vegemite off the screen;) Just kidding Dee.

Oh come on, put up the photo. I'm intrigued already. Going to your site now.

I would never assume that you didn't already know all that's been stated here Shobha.

Yes, it is supposed to bind as opposed to blind. Unfortunately, where social collectivism isn't true, religion tends to become a personal refuge that serves to reinforce the self-centering conditions that caused it to become a personal refuge in the first place. That's where religion can actually become the reinforcer of the perspectives of the nemesis of the Heavens.

These sorts of things do much to make the religious look silly. They are an attempt to have something concrete to look at so that faith is not so difficult to maintain. I think they kind of miss the point.

So true Scio. So true. I cannot add to what you have said.
